at the age of 14(?) my dumb teenager ass discovered rateyourmusic, severely damaging her music taste for years to come thinking that the doors and pink floyd are the greatest bands to ever grace the earth. my dumb teenager ass even got her hands on a bunch of records and a turntable but eventually gave up on the idea after discovering soulseek, instanly improving her music taste tenfold, and now the hilariously expensive boomer plastic disks are all sitting in the basement collecting dust waiting to be sold. the only record i’m proud of owning is a 1 of 500 Les Rallizes Denudes ‘77 Live re-release. i think CDs are pretty cool though i play coltrane and death in the car sometimes.
i currently use cmus, vlc, and nicotine+ on the puter and a hifi walker H2 with a 512GB SD card and rockbox on it outside the puter.
i enjoy ambient and drone and hip-hop and jazz and modern classical and SOME prog rock and jungle and pretty much everything electronic and some forms of metal.
